Escape the rat race for some Saracens Civilisation.

North Norfolks 'LOST INN'
The individualistic Saracens Head is truly a lost wonder worth finding. Open 7 days a week, it is a humble Free House under private ownership. Well known for its delicious style of cooking and mellow atmosphere it sits in the middle of Norfolk fields, sheltered from the humdrum of the everyday rat race.
Its relaxed and casual
atmosphere belies the fervour in the kitchen as Robert Dawson-Smith
and his team cook up some of Norfolks most delicious wild and tame
treats. Sit back and enjoy the addictive parlour room atmosphere:
Roaring log fires in winter in the cosy bar and parlour areas, and there is
also the delightful and sheltered courtyard for the summer months.
We are a main entry in many guides including 'The Good Pub Guide',
'The Quiet Pint', 'Alastair Sawday's Special Places to Stay, British Hotels,
Inns & Other Places', 'The AA Pub Guide', 'The Michelin Hotel &
Restaurant Guide'. We are also members of the Norwich Area Tourism Agency &
the North Norfolk Hotel & Guest House Association.'
Our Bar is open 11.30am - 3pm & 6pm - 11pm, Monday - Saturday,
and 7pm - 10.30pm on Sundays. Eat in either one of our bars or cosy parlour
areas. Food is served from 12.30pm - 2pm and 7.30pm - 9.00pm (...ish). Our menu
changes every lunch & supper.
Booking is virtually essential at weekends, and is always a great help at all other times!

Why not run away from it all to the Saracens Head and enjoy some of Norfolk's most delicious dishes.
We have now redecorated all four of our exsisting en-suite rooms, and added a further two 'new' rooms, with a residents sitting area too - all rooms now have a really arty, colourful and comfortable feel. As a consequence of which the East of England Tourist Board have now upped our rating to four diamonds for guest accommodation.
Spend a few days relaxing in our humble old Inn. Ideally located to escape the usual tourist trails, but still handy enough for visits to Norfolks beautiful and unspoilt coastline and countryside, or to explore Mannington, Blickling and Felbrigg halls.
Then in the evening you can retreat to one of our cosy bar areas or the delightful Parlour, warm in front of a roaring log fire with a big glass of wine, and enjoy some of Norfolks most delicious dishes.
We have five doubles and one
twin room, all of which are en-suite.

Single £45
Family room also available
Double
